"AURA NOIR's history is a bit obscure, but finds it's beginning somewhere
in the upheaval of Norwergian Black Metal. In 1995 they released their
debut on Hot Records, called "Dreams Like Deserts", which puts them right
in the middle of the burgeoning Scandinavian Modern Black Metal scene, as a
very promising and uncompromising Black/Thrash band with the distinction of
being one of the first to mix new & old styles... After the success of this
relea
se they signed to the legendary Malicious Records, releasing a new
album called "Black Thrash Attack"on CD and on LP!!! This release brings
them even further fame, and a very huge CULT following in the
underground... AURA NOIR decides to sign to HAMMERHEART RECORDS in January
1998, a very wise decision... The recordings of "Deep Tracts of Hell" took
place during the dirty Black summer of 1998, subsequently released later
that fall/early-winter, & followed by a European tour in with Aeternus and
Nocturnal Breed."
