Australia's [band] personification of the Anti-christ! This totally shreds
over the uneven, but still potent debut "Violence is the Prince of the
World" with a more effective control of martial Battle-Thrash & Nordic
fury-like attack! In some spots, the simplicity of Darkthrone & Burzum
blasts forward, but at other times majestic, victorious, dramatic, &
bombastic! "Unchain the Wolves" confidently projects the ultimate
headbanging, fist-shaking, hell-raising attitude with conviction; a
flashback to the times of elder Thrash Metal bands who endorsed wild
behaviour, & encourages the metalhead audiences to scream the lyrics in
unison with the band (& yes the Thrash elements do travel well into the
90's)! With acoustic guitar intros, smooth melodic transfers, a touch of
tragic violins(!), some real fluid bass-playing, etc., "Unchain the Wolves"
is definitely & definitively dynamic, awesome, & magnificent Black Metal
from "down under"!
