An amazingly killer collection of live Manowar (classic!) tracks recorded in various cities around the world during their much-anticipated 1997 International trek! Excellent & surprisingly great all-around quality, an intense "you are there" energy is projected via tight-as-hell rip-roaring performances to enthusiastic, "singing-along-to-every-word" fanatical crowds (who actually enhance the recordings, as opposed to detracting from the listening enjoyment)! Each song was picked from a different city on the tour, but edited to form what appears to be one long & seamless concert-- GREAT! Accompanying booklet is chock full of cool tour photos to document a momentous & memorable run of concert dates! This double-CD is a great starter anthology for new & curious fans, too!

Euro-styled Power Metal & Thrash from Los Angeles, circa mid-'80s (late '86 to early '87), that deserves to be enjoyed by Metal freaks today! These previously unreleased classic recordings are finally available after 11 years, & with 3 demo tracks (originally from 1984) included as bonus songs! Essentially remembered for "Axehammer" their standout track which appeared on New Renaissance Record's infamous "Satan's Revenge" compilation album, Axehammer's epic & grand (almost operatic!) style of Metal was completely unique (especially for the L.A. club circuit of the Whiskey, Gazzari's, or Chuck Landis' Country Club, where they played on the same bills with bands like Dark Angel, Slayer, Wargod, Pandemonium, etc.)-- an anomaly surrounded by both glam rockers & extreme Speed/Thrashers. More akin to bands like Warlord, Manowar, Virgin Steele, Manilla Road, Brocas Helm, & Helloween, Axehammer presented a bracing, more street-level attack to support their heroic style! A quality act! *Also included is a curiously amazing sound-bite of a commercial from KNAC radio that will resurrect buried & long-forgotten ghosts (that a lot of you will argue should remain buried & forgotten)!!!
