Cold Meat Industry bulletin:

BLOT (the traditional Swedish word for "Sacrifice") represents the next stage in the evolution of esoteric underground legends BLOOD AXIS! It is both a document & a testament of strength & willpower!
In November, 1997, Blood Axis was invited to fly to Sweden & present a special live performance for the Cold Meat Industry 10th Anniversary Feast/Festival. The show was recorded onto digital multi-track directly from the mixing board, & the resulting tapes were brought back to the USA & re-mixed/re-processed (by Blood Axis themselves) for an exceptional result: a crystalline & intense summoning of everything from haunting heathen mantras to electronic aggression, & traditional European melodies to crushing bombastic anthems!

This is no ordinary live album (in fact, Blood Axis feels some songs performed here are even stronger that their previous studio versions!): the set-list reflects the entire work of Blood Axis, from the earliest beginnings to the newest horizons! The razor-sharp recording is complemented by a stunning booklet with live color photographs (also previewed in last year's Cold Meat Industry mailorder catalog) set against archaic images which were discovered & gathered by Blood Axis members during their stay in Sweden. The visually stunning cover features the most disturbing & powerful painting ever created by Sweden's most respected artist, Carl Larsson (1853-1919), a mural which depicts the Midwinter Sacrifices at the old Pagan temple of Uppsala. Members of Blood Axis made a pilgrimage to this sacred site after the Festival concert.

The Sacrifice has been made, the spirits summoned, & the results will be seen & felt by any who dare listen!

"The Gospel of Inhumanity"

You've read Blood Axis' (aka Michael Moynihan) interviews in Terrorizer & Descent Magazines, & probably familiar with Misanthropy Record's release of "The Gospel of Inhumanity" on vinyl (double-LP in gatefold cover!), well here is the original CD from Cthulhu/Storm Records in its full glory! This CD takes up where Boyd Rice & Friends' "Music, Martinis, & Misanthropy" album left off, expanding the sound with even more grandiose orchestral presentation, & at other times, a harder rock attack. Continuing with themes of strength, power, & might, this album features samples of Ezra Pound, Charles Manson, "The Wicker Man", etc., lyrics by Nietzsche & Longfellow, & incorporates the music of J.S.Bach & Prokofiev. A completely superior presentation packaged in a beautiful digi-pak, with a thick booklet of images appropriate to accompany the music.

"Fire of Life"

Recordings by Robert N.Taylor, Nicholas Tesluk, & Karen Taylor of calm, but powerful acoustic guitar (folk-psychedelic shaded) music. Newly remastered & edited by Michael Moynihan (Blood Axis) with Robert Taylor late in 1994, these songs by this group with ties to the Process Church date back from 1969 up to 1994. "Fire of Life" consists of striking, compelling, & addicting music that holds up surprisingly well, & is sure to appeal to fans of Current 93, Garmarna, Magickal Lantern Cycle, & Ulver! Beautiful & well-presented package (digipak format) with thoroughly detailed booklet chock full of liner-notes & lyrics to all songs! *(This full-length CD was released by Cthulhu/Storm in 1996.)
