This 67 minute-long boot
(obviously!) from "who the fuck knows where?" consists of 5
parts:
1) a muddy & muffled, almost ambient-sounding rehearsal recording by
Hellhammer of "Triumph of Death" from 1981 (over 7 minutes long, complete
with cassette-tape dropouts!);
2) Celtic Frost recorded live in Weiheim (1-6-85; 7 songs including
"Dethroned Emperor", "Into the Crypts of Rays", "Circle of the Tyrants",
"Visions of Mortality", etc.)-- [warning: a pretty shitty walkman recording
probably using condenser mics with built-in limiter, so that the crowd is
always louder than the band!];
3) Emperor cover of Celtic Frost's "The Usurper"
from a 1992 rehearsal recording;
4) Hellhammer from 1984 with "Revelations of Doom"; &
5) Bathory's '83-84 demo (featuring "Sacrifice", "The Return of Darkness &
Evil", "Intro"[obviously from "Conan the Barbarian"!], "In Conspiracy With
Satan", "Necromancy", & "Raise the Dead")-- pretty muffled-sounding (why
didn't the pathetic fucker who put this out use enhancers on his original
tapes before mastering this onto CD?!?)
Oh man, we warn you: this is only for die-hard fans (fucking painful,
man)! *(Lift up the disc & underneath the clear tray you'll see a photo of
Tom Warrior wearing Enslaved/Grutle's Viking Helmet! Heh heh...)
