The heavily anticipated second album of DIES ATER's killer German Black Metal! Recorded in Blue House Studio (Falkenbach, Nargaroth, etc.); & fresh from their successful appearance at the 'Under the Black Sun' Festival with Judas Iscariot!

DIES ATER was founded in November 1994, consisting of Nuntius Tristis (vocals/guitar), Impurur (drums), Ole Caust (keyboards), Obskur (bass), & Torgrim (guitar). 2 Years later (September 1996), they recorded the first demo 'Rabenflug' in the Orkikiller Studio Berlin. This demo met with great critical & general acclaim, & enabled Dies Ater to play several gigs with bands such as Ablaze My Sorrow, Sigh, Desaster, etc., plus garnered heavy interest from several record labels. For the release of their debut-album 'Reign of Tempests' in 1998, Dies Ater signed with English label Mordgrimm. 'Reign of Tempests' was recorded in Spiderhouse Studio under the direction of Harris Johns & got great reviews. The basic concept of the CD symbolizes the contrast of life & death, war & peace, & the lyrics describe dark, aggressive thoughts. Due to several disagreements, the band decided to leave Mordgrimm & search for a new, more suitable label.

Now signed to Last Episode Records, Germany, recording at Blue House Studio commenced in May 2000 with 'Through Weird Woods' as the successful results! This album has become far more complex & varied than the previous debut-album, & the sound also far better & more 'professional'. The lyrics deal with dark emotions again (such as in 'Scorned Heroine'), but this time the aggressive parts dominate ('Das Tor' & 'Through Weird Woods', for example). Overall, the second album shows the above mentioned contrast & thus presents a successful continuation & development for the band.
