SATHANAS has had a long history in the Underground starting in 1988 with original vocalist Mike Smith later joining ACHERON, & founding member Paul Tucker forming BATHYM known for their ''Demonic Force'' EP on Thrash Records France. *(See OLD FUNERAL ''Devoured Carcass'' EP which featured pre-BURZUM/IMMORTAL/HADES members; also on Thrash Records!) SATHANAS' first EP ''Ripping Evil'' (originally the first demo from 1988) was released by Reaper Records Belgium (known for releases by MORBID featuring pre-MAYHEM's Dead with pre-ENTOMBED!)... The first full-length album ''Black Earth'' from 1995/96 remained unreleased until September 2001. The 1997 Album ''Armies of Charon'' was released by Conquistador Records UK; & now the third & newest full-length recording ''Thy Dark Heavens'' is released simultaneously with ''Black Earth'' by CYBERTZARA/blackmetal.com Records!
