This is a superior & powerful creation of continental styled melodic black metal similar to Satyricon's first album "Dark Medieval Times", Dissection's "Storm of the Light's Bane" (lots of acoustic guitar!), or Abigor's "Nachthymnen". Melodic (without keyboards), yes, but headbangingly HEAVY nonetheless, the influence of Bathory & Celtic Frost shines through!
