No Fashion Records styled melodic Black Metal band from Sweden featuring Mattias Holmgren, the drummer on Naglfar's "Vittra" album. In his own band, Embracing, Matte plays drums, keyboards, writes lyrics & sings ("vocals of sorrow"; there is a 2nd. "vocals of pain" by Henrik Nygren)-- Matte even drew/created the logo for this band! A full line-up consisting of 5 band members, Embracing generate a truly "bracing" sound that fits in well with the rest of Swedish scene, but manages to stand out with good, memorable songs, excellent musicianship, & crisp production. Compares favorably with Vinterland, Ablaze My Sorrow, Gates of Ishtar, Vargavinter, & of course: Dissection!
