"No Retreat, No Surrender"
NOCTURNAL BREED was born around 1994/'95 somewhere in Oslo, Norway. The
legendary line-up in those days was formed by Svartalv (bass), Silenoz
(guitars), & Shagrath (guitars)-- Svartalv also played bass in GEHENNA &
later in SATYRICON, while Silenoz & Shagrath have acheived fame & fortune
as the main guys in GEHENNA & DIMMU BORGIR.
In March 1997, Nocturnal Breed entered the studio to record their blazing
debut album "Aggressor" for Hammerheart Records before releasing the
"Triumph of the Blasphemer" MCD (see description below) in March of 1998
(as an appetizer to the new album for impatient fans wanting more)... In
April 1998, Nocturnal Breed recorded their 2nd. full-length album "No
Retreat... No Surrender" (again in Gordon studios in Oslo), released in
Autumn 1998, & followed by a European tour in November with label-mates
AURA NOIR & AETURNUS.
With the lucky 13 killer tracks of "No Retreat... No Surrender", these
spiked, bullet-belted, & denim-clad sons of Mayhemic Metal are back! This
is what true Metal is all about: loads of aggression & loud Thrash +
deadly Black Metal! With raging grim BM vokills (strongly reminiscent of
ea
rly IMMORTAL!) presenting a more "pure" Black Metal attack, this will
still appeal to fans of Aura Noir & Bewitched, as well as rabid collectors
of all modern Norwegian Black/Death Metal! Simply, NOT to be missed!
