Cranium Mag, Lithuania; #4
Death Metal with some Black Metal flashes...everything is played
without any reproves - professional and surprising...romantic, mystic
and other elements of darkness were used here.

Chaotic Brutality Mag; USA; 4,5 points out of 6
...well done...doomy black approach...Anathema-like guitars that
speed up...real catchy riffs...chilling and keyboard intros and black
vocals mixed with normal ones...really good mix of black and
doom...cool guitar parts. This album took me by surprise...I really
liked the music, especially the lead guitar parts. I recommend this
to all doomy Black Metal fans!
Divine Blackness - Zine/France
- ... a killer mini-CD ! The cover is really beautiful and sad like the
music of ANCIENT CEREMONY who is a requiem of melancholy and godly
atmospheres with brutal and desperate vocals. Monumental !
Masters of Brutality - Zine/Holland
- ... dark/melodic death metal ... The intro "Forsaken Gardens" is very
atmospheric with sounds of blazing wind, violins, thunder and dreamy
keyboard melodies. The track "Cemetary Visions" which is a
melancholic song with it seems, a lyrical concept of a lost love, also some
Latin lyrics. "The God and the Idol" and "Choir of Immortal
Queens" follow up ... are upbeat, blended with occasional keyboards ...
musicianship quite good, as is the production. The fifth song is "An Ode
to the Moon" An acoustic track with heavy undertones and some kind of
spoken spell. Those who are into melodic/moody death metal will love this
band for sure. A very big compliment for the absolutely stunning artwork on
the cover and inlay ... one of the most beautiful works of art I have seen
in a long time. It suits the whole atmosphere very well, brilliant work !
The Oath - Zine/Ireland
- Quit impressive melodic and dark death metal ... some great guitar
lines. Overall ANCIENT CEREMONY are a good dark death metal band ... and
one with great promise ..
Agaliarept- Zine/Norway
- ... very dark melodic doom influed death metal with instrumental parts.
Putrefying Mass - Zine/Holland
- ... very, very considered deathmetal ... dark, melodic deathmetal ... is
exactly what you get served during listening to butchering songs as "The
God and the Idol" or "Choir of immortal Queens" ! ! ...ANCIENT
CEREMONY's stuff is played in a very pleasant way you won't be bored
for one bloody second ! ! I think we ve to expect more spectacular stuff
from these guys in the near future, consider this MCD just as a warning ! !
Check this brilliant MCD ...
Witchcraft - Mag/Germany
- ... cover as well as the whole design is really good and full-coloured ...
5 songs/18 minutes of slow Death with some black touches. Melodic guitars and a
good drumming, combined with an interesting vocal/background structure. Sound
and production is really good here ... These guys really know how to play,
create and compose good music, and I think this band has a real chance ...
Godreah - Zine/England
- ANCIENT CEREMONY play a dark brooding form of woeinspired melancholy
... their, "Cemetary Visions" MCD is full of atmosphere and thoughtful
music hat evokes the sombre ethos of dark romantic satanism ... mostly
mid-paced, though littered with a variety of twisting arrangements and
memorable chorus lines ...
Aborted Principles - Zine/Holland
- When I got this bands debut demo about a year ago, I already liked the
music a lot ... this mini-CD ... shows the bands progression over the past
period. Musically ANCIENT CEREMONY combines mid-paced technical
black/death metal with mystical and melancholic sounds, mostly produced by
a depressive guitarsound plus keyboards. I think this band deserves a good
deal soon... it s really a great record ! ...
Impietas - Zine/Germany
- always very dark and atmospheric ... it doesen't lose its intensity when
the guitars are getting more slow ... every riff is followed up by another,
even better one and you'll never get tired of this. Superb !
Immemorial - Mag/Germany
- ... very good, especially the title song, which combines melody and power
to a real hammersong ... mid-tempo-Death with some Keyboard-parts
Ablaze - Mag/Germany
- ... clean produced MCD ... these six ceremonial-masters prefer darkness
as inspiration ... very well arranged Intro ... melancholic melodies
... black tears mix up with innermost screams for the missed soul ... more
than 18 minutes full of dark visions, drowned with emotions ... aggressive
drums and guitars flow over into cool melodies, sometimes filled with
keyboards...
Horror Infernal - Mag/Germany
- ... impressing musical finesse ... great songs of Death Metal with good
keyboards ... worth getting 11 of 15 points
Way Up - Mag/Germany
- dark sounds ... the five songs spread an aura of darkness ... fast parts
mix up with the sound of damnation ... for friends of black-touched music ...
Soluzen - Zine/Germany
- ... they know how to play ... great mixture of melodic and depressive
Death-metal with swedish influences ... very varied in the pace and in the
vocals as well ... boredom doesn't rise at any time ... inspired by
occultism, which also finds its reflection in the lyrics, that are
absolutely no silly "Hail Satan"-screaming ... brilliant layout and good
production ... also beautiful keyboard-parts, which yet strengthen the
atmosphere ... go on this way ! 7,5 of 9 points ...
Suffer - Zine/Germany
Even their Demo made me already enthusiastic....phantastic!...
doomy Death in its perfect form...the music is very emotional, the
beautiful well-arranged guitar-solos are superior...they evoke the
special mood...the keyboard -intro got very beautiful again....the
keyboard creates a great,whispering "soundcarpet"...very strong
vocals...a band with future!!!
Powertrip - Mag/Germany
...melodic side of Death-Metal...doomy dark passages change with
melodic or fast Death...boredom never rises...
Tales of the Macabre - Mag/Germany
...harmonic Death-Metal with dark atmosphere...more emotional and
less brutal than the demo...their Death-Metal elements are still
strong enough to keep the music heavy...nice ideas enclosed...vocals
remind me a bit at M.van Drunen...the last track will make everyone
ejaculate who loves atmosphere through synths...a band far above
average and you simply hear that they know to play their instruments
very well.
