The new MCD "P.uritan's B.lasphemy C.all" has been officially released now in Russia through Irond Records. Step by step other countries will follow. Due to the massive controversial around this album it's possible that it is not available everywhere as usual, so check your mailorder, eBay or contact the band directly in case of problems in finding the MCD.

The trial "Catholic church against ANCIENT CEREMONY-vocalist Chris Anderle" has, after it got delayed in January, been dated now for 26.05.2004 at the Landgericht Trier. Possibly a solution outside the courts will have been found til then, the lawyer's of both parties are currently working on this.

The band is rather pissed off with this soap opera in the meanwhile and now is concentrating on finishing the new mini CD "P.uritan's B.lasphemy C.all (Ruf-Mord)". The highly controversial album, which is observed by German censorship authorities already before its release, hopefully can be unleashed on Irond Records in June.

Massive live presentation through open air festivals and club shows all over Europe will follow (see "Concert Dates").

After a - due to some smaller accidents - rather poor start into the summerfestival season ANCIENT CEREMONY since August were able to impress fans and media with intensive live shows at which they presented their new members Christoph Bales (guitar; he already played some gigs with the band last year) and drummer Manuel Steitz.

The band is again ready for attack and the upcoming live shows will as well be recorded for a DVD as a clip for "Litanies in Blood" and maybe some other tracks.

In late December a mini-tour under the monicker "Black X-Mas Campaign" is set to be done and some dates have already been confirmed.

Most important news is that a "P.uritan's B.lasphemy C.all (Ruf-Mord)" entitled mini-album is going to be released early 2004 on Russian toplabel Irond Records. The title track is ANCIENT CEREMONY's provocative answer to the blasphemy scandal around the band some months ago and the record was refused by some German companies as they feared it might be too controversial. There will furthermore appear rare and new songs on it, so that the MCD will have a playing time of appr. 30 minutes. It'll hit the stores and mailorders worldwide as import release to a special price then.

As a consequence the street date for the next full length opus "Holycaust - Angelus Mortis" has been delayed a bit until April 2004 most probably

After an heavy accident of bassplayer and main songwriter Jones forced ANCIENT CEREMONY to take some break, the band from early January 2003 on will intensify the work on their new, probably "Holycaust - Angelus Mortis" entitled album. February then shall see the recordings in co-operation with Markus Stock and in June the opus is destined to be released through their label Trisol/Armageddon Shadow. (www.trisol.de) Vocalist and frontman Chris will visit Russia in late January for certain promotional activities and from March on the band will again start haunting European clubs and festival stages.
