- Acrimony has recorded "O Baby" by Status Quo for forthcoming
Peaceville ten year anniversary compilation "X". The compilation is going to be released 14th of April 1998.
- A word from the band:
"Greetings, how's life friends? Thanks again for visiting the Acrimony
site, there's loads more bollocks been added for your stoned
entertainment. Keep an eye out for info on Acrimony live shows soon....
Shroomaroom brothers. Mead."
- "The Welsh stoner rock monsters laid waste to the Barfly with bass-heavy
selections from their 'Tumuli shroomaroom' album. "It was f**king
shit-hot" reckons bassist Mead. "We had a really nice sound and everyone
got into it. Afterwards, we got pissed in the park opposite, had a bong in
the van and sang along to the Welsh national anthem. We continued drinking
in an Indian restaurant, then drove to the nearest service station and
bonged in a car park until the morning. Quite crazy."
(Kerrang! "Planet Rock")
- The Welsh stoner kings released their already acclaimed album "Tumuli
Shroomaroom" through a new worldwide license with Peaceville. They
were nominated for BEST NEW BAND at the KERRANG Awards in London on
August 21st , but sadly Placebo won. Still, it gave the boys a chance
to meet their gods - Ozzy and Tony from Sabbath and Bruce Dickinson.
They also managed to down an enormous quantity of alcohol and become
this years "Band to be Remembered for all the wrong reasons".
(Info taken from Peaceville homepage)
- The latest issue of Kerrang (Aug 23) has a cover mount CD with 13 tracks,
one of which is Acrimony's 'The Bud Song'. The blurb for the CD goes as
follows....
Club Kerrang! The future sound of music.
"Seven gigs over seven days, Kerrang!'s 'Week On Planet Rock" thrash at
the Camden Barfly - supported by those nice people at Virgin Megastores -
was the last word in sweaty rock and metal. These are some of the bands
that helped make it happen, and they'd like to introduce themselves..."
The other bands on the CD are : 3 Colours Red, Man BREAK, Radish, LK, The
Driven, Cable, Tampasm, Daytona, The Dawn, Iron Monkey, Groop Dogdrill,
[sic] and an Intro by Symposium.

- A word from the band:
"Welcome, to the Acrimony page. Mead here, just a note to introduce you to
all this info on the band and to prove that I can actually talk sense when I
have to. It goes without saying that we're fuckin' chuffed the new LP is out
on Peaceville and The High Holy Stone has asked me to pass on good vibes to
all you warped-out stoner metallers out there. I may talk some more next
